Hair Tips

1: By Hair Expert for Repairing Damaged hair.
1. First, check if you have any damage by pulling out a single strand of hair and submerging it into a glass of water. If it floats, your hair is healthy; if it sinks, you are in need of some repair – seek advice

2. When drying your hair, gently squeeze out excess water with a towel - dont rub hair vigorously - and be extra careful when combing it out as hair is weakest when it is wet

3. Use a treatment for dry/damaged hair once a week. Try my Damage Reconstruction Program to restore your damaged tresses

4. Eat a balanced diet including multivitamins and proteins to encourage hair growth. Take time when brushing your hair and be careful when using hair accessories (e.g. avoid rubber bands and headbands – these can exacerbate damage)

5. Drink at least two litres of water a day to re-hydrate your body including your hair

6. If you want an alternative treatment, apply a small amount of olive oil onto your hair and let it soak in for an hour. Wash and dry your hair as normal

2: By Expert for maintaining a healthy scalp.

1. Increase your intake of essential fatty acids found in oily fish or avocados to improve the general condition of your skin

2. Avoid an overly warm or dry bedroom as this will zap your skin of moisture

3. Alternate the use of hot and cold water on your scalp to increase the circulation and prevent dead cells from forming

4. Try to massage rather than scratch your scalp when you are applying Sunsilk Hair Fall Solution Shampoo

5. Your diet plays an important part in keeping your hair in good condition. Drinking two litres of water daily will help

6. Having your hair cut regularly will improve its condition.

7. Stress is one of the most common causes for unhealthy scalp often resulting in hair loss, try and pinpoint areas in your life that are causing you anxiety and work on improving them .

3: By Expert for catwalk-volume at home.

1. A quiff is easier than you think whatever your hair type: backcomb the mid-lengths to roots from the front of the crown, mist with hairspray, then smooth down with a comb and clip in

2. Blow-dry wet hair upside down. Use the dryer directly on the roots to dry them straight upwards

3. For movie-star hair, part a front section to create a sweeping fringe and then loosely pin up the remaining hair

4. Only apply conditioner to the ends and not the roots

5. In a hurry? Turn your head upside down and massage your scalp with fingertips to liven up the roots and mist with hairspray

6. If your hair is fine, try pinning up in lots of different sections to achieve a nest-like look.
